Description
Our client is a successful commercial roofing and architectural sheet metal contractor experiencing rapid growth. We are currently seeking qualified individuals to manage roofing projects of various sizes throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
COMMERCIAL ROOFING SUPERINTENDENT QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-5 years previous commercial roofing Superintendent experience
- Ability to multitask, run several crews and projects at a time
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications
- Must have valid TX DL
- Must pass a background check
- 1-2 years of experience as working on commercial roofing systems including but not limited to shingled roofs, BUR, metal, modified bit, TPO, and PVC
- Must be able to interface with Consultants, Owners, Subcontractors, General Contractors, and other Company Management
- Must be able to lift 50-100lbs. regularly, repeated bending, climbing, and kneeling
- Must be able to scale a ladder with an excess height of 50 feet
- Ability to do quality assurance of commercial roofing systems
- Perform other related duties as required
- Able to prioritize and multitask
- Perform other related duties as required,
- OSHA 30 Cert and a strict adherence and compliance to safety culture
- Ability to communicate using email and/or other online communication tools
- Able to use basic word processing software such as Word
- Basic understanding of online project management software including BuilderTrend and Procore
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure strict adherence and compliance to safety culture
- Provide a great experience to our clients that will make them loyal towards our company
- Overseeing daily job site operations, including maintaining adequate materials and supplies for multiple crews
- Improving job site efficiency and cost containment
- Scheduling in coordination with sales and management including designating material staging areas
- Overseeing site foremen and ensuring they follow policy, as well as overseeing and training of individuals in roofing system installations
- Responding to questions of clients, site foreman, management and including crew personnel scheduling and issues
- Inspecting work in progress
- Conducts site visits and attends pre-bid meetings to understand project scope
- Maintaining communication with Owner/management about important issues related to job progress, employee performance, or client success
- Responsible for installing roofing systems with the highest degree of quality, in the safest and most cost effective manner
- Attend weekly huddles and team meetings
- Attend pre-roofing conference before roofing work begins
- Coordinate work schedule with clients and subcontractors and inform Supervisor of all changes in the schedule
- Maintain job site records, daily reports, delay requests and weather reports as required
- Monitor job progress and control costs
- Provide support to Supervisor as required for materials, schedule, and cost information
- Prepare estimates for minor change orders
- Provide information/support to estimators for major change orders
- Attend daily department team meetings and weekly scheduling meetings
- Build and maintain a great field worker team to deliver a superior experience to the clients
